4-H SPecial INterest workshops, tours and events to spark an interest is something NEW to Clarke County 4-Hers grades 4th - 12th!  Be sure to check these out and to sign up call the Clarke County Extension office at (641) 342-3316 or email Jennifer at jpollard@iastate.edu.  All the SPIN events are FREE thanks to the Clarke County Extension for sponsoring these events.

Clarke County Extension will be holding the Gardening with Children Child Care Training on Monday, May 9 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Lifepoint Assembly of God Church, 801 N Fillmore Street in Osceola.  Register online through the DHS Training Registry or call the Clarke County Extension office at (641) 342-3316.  The cost for the training is $10 and must be prepaid to the Clarke County Extension Office by Thursday, May 9 to reserve your spot.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer the Crop Advantage Series to producers at 14 locations across Iowa during January 2016. Each year, ISU Exension and Outreach specialists and field agronomists present the lastest crop production research and information for the upcoming growing season to producers, agronomists and industry leaders.

It is hard to believe that it is time to get enrolled in Clarke County 4-H already.  Adventures await for all Clarke County Youth.  Kindergarten - 3rd Grade have a great Clover Kids program available while those grades 4th - 12th have traditional and specialized clubs available.  Members explore a wide variety of life skills including healthy living, the environment, citizenship, plants and animals, science and technology, and expressive arts through hands-on activites in a non-competitive environment.
