Barb Fuller, Nutrition and Wellness Human Sciences Specialst, has announced that the ServSafe Food Safety Training course will be offered in Osceola on Monday, April 4th from 9 am - 6 pm at the Clarke County Fairgrounds.  Topics include:  Providing Safe Food, Contamination and Food Allergens, Cleaning and Sanitizing, Pest Management, and several more.  This training meets Certified Food Protection Manager requirements.  For more infomation contact Barb Fuller at (712) 789-2449.  Contact the Clarke County Extension office to register.

Clarke County Extension will be holding the Gardening with Children Child Care Training on Monday, May 9 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Lifepoint Assembly of God Church, 801 N Fillmore Street in Osceola.  Register online through the DHS Training Registry or call the Clarke County Extension office at (641) 342-3316.  The cost for the training is $10 and must be prepaid to the Clarke County Extension Office by Thursday, May 9 to reserve your spot.

You may have heard of the Peterson Farm Brothers or have watched their video's on YouTube.  These brothers and their sister farm with their parents in Kansas and produce entertaining and educational videos focusing on the misconceptions of modern day farming.  They feel it is their duty to clear up these negative images by sharing these videos on social media and traveling around the country to perform and speak on advocating for agriculture.

Union, Adair, Ringgold and Clarke County Extension Offices have worked together to bring the Peterson Brothers to our area!  They will be coming to the East Union High School on Sunday, February 28 from 6 - 7 pm with a meet and greet to follow.  Even better, active (4th-12th grade) 4-Hers from these counties get in FREE!  This event is open to the public and we are expecting a large number of attendees.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer the Crop Advantage Series to producers at 14 locations across Iowa during January 2016. Each year, ISU Exension and Outreach specialists and field agronomists present the lastest crop production research and information for the upcoming growing season to producers, agronomists and industry leaders.
