High Action Science Expedition Information
Experience Science!
Come along as Chickasaw County 4-H experiences science like never before! Feel the thunder of hoofs while bison run across the prairie. Smell the sweetness of a towering Ponderosa Pine and see wonder in the world’s longest cave!
We will be camping in National, State and Private campgrounds through-out the week. Through this type of travel Youth will be exposed to many areas of science while being active and gaining both team and individual responsibility skills.
Through research, presentations and small group committees, these 4-H’ers will learn leadership skills to become stronger citizens and effective communicators to help them throughout their future.
How Much Does it Cost?
$450 for 6 days and 5 nights of Outdoor Excitement! We will be tent camping and preparing group meals. All planned group events are included in this price. Horse-back riding, park entrance fees, rodeo tickets, most meals and some snacks are included.
How do I Apply?
To get an application 4-H’ers may either pick one up from the Extension Offiice or click here for online form. Applications should be returned to the Extension Office.
All applicants will be granted an interview for further selection.
A maximum of 10 4-H’ers will be chosen for the 2013 Excursion.
Applications are due April 15th, 2013.
