Clovers

During the recent “Shadow Shenanigans” 4-H Clover Kids Afterschool Science Programs, forty-six Chickasaw County kindergartener through third grades found out shadows don’t always have to be spooky.

Along with games and crafts, the kids’ experiments included using sun print paper with objects placed on it, and then placed the paper in the sun to produce shadow art.  They also experimented with flashlights shown through objects with different sized and shaped holes to determine how light spreads.  A shadow puppet show was also performed.

A special “Holiday Crafts” workshop where second and third graders can make 4 gifts for holiday giving, will be held after school in December at each of the area schools.  Program size is limited, so sign up early.
