Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a series of meetings this fall for growers producing crops in high tunnels. Three meeting sites will offer the beginning “High Tunnel 101” workshop to current commercial fruit or vegetable growers and traditional farmers interested in diversifying their production.

Many Iowans are choosing to live on small farms or acreages and they have a variety of reasons. According to the Census of Agriculture, one-third of Iowa farms are small farms with 50 acres or less.
