Women Adding Value to Agriculture Conference Set for March

Women involved in agriculture are invited to attend the annual Women Adding Value to Agriculture Conference, or WAVA. Entering its third year, the conference will be a one-day event held at the Hotel Winneshiek on March 5.

Free Tax Preparation Available

Volunteer tax preparation in northeast Iowa is being offered by the AARP and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs and is coordinated by Iowa State University Extension and Northeast Iowa RSVP in Decorah.

Farm to School Team Teachers Trained

High school students from Turkey Valley recently participated in a training coordinated by Iowa State University Extension at Luther College. The training prepared students for their role as cross-age teachers in the Farm to School program which will begin in January.
