ISU Extension and Outreach will be offering two FREE workshops for people who may be interested in establishing a commercial winegrape vineyard or winery in Iowa.  Mike White, ISU Extension’s Viticulture (grape) specialist will be leading both of these workshops.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host an educational emerald ash borer event on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. at the Cherokee County Extension and Outreach office. The emerald ash borer lunch and learn will feature Dr. Jesse Randall, ISU Extension Forester, as the guest speaker.

Strawberries are well suited for any home garden. They are hardy, easy to grow and produce a good crop with moderate effort. Early spring is one of the best times to plant strawberries in Iowa and knowing when to plant and how to grow and maintain the strawberries is key to producing a successful crop.
