ORANGE CITY - The 2014 Farm Bill changed dairy farm support programs to one that is insurance based now called the Margin Protection Program for Dairy or MPP. The previous program, Milk Income Loss Contract or MILC, was replaced by MPP. A sign up period is underway for MPP program participation in 2016 until Sept. 30 at designated Farm Service Agency offices. Dairy farmers who have an interest in this program have an opportunity to learn more about MPP on Friday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach office in Sioux County, 400 Central Ave. NW in Orange City.

The SFP 10-14 is a free, fun, and effective programdesigned to assist parents in preparing their 6th graders for a positive experience in the teen years.
