The SFP 10-14 is a free, fun, and effective programdesigned to assist parents in preparing their 6th graders for a positive experience in the teen years. Farmland Leasing and Land Value Northwest Iowa

More than half of Iowa farmland is rented. In some Iowa locations, as much as 70 percent of the land is farmed by farmers who don’t own the land. In Northwest Iowa, the result is many conversations and negotiations between farmland owners and producer-tenants to determine what makes sense for farmland leases and cash rental rates. Workshops will be held across northwest Iowa counties starting July 23 through July 31. Details and registration forms here.

AMES, Iowa – Azaleas and rhododendrons are spectacular flowering shrubs that can brighten any yard or garden. Even though there are many species of azaleas and rhododendrons, only a small number can successfully be grown in Iowa.
