The Summer Horticulture Showcase will be taking place on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Borlaug Learning Center (ISU Research Farm) west of Nashua for anyone interested in gardening. There will be expert Horticulturists giving presentations on 12 different horticulture related topics throughout the day (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). Participants may choose 4 of the 12 programs to attend. Women, Land and Legacy Meeting, September 4, 5:30-8:00 pm, 4-H Learning Center, North Iowa Events Center, Mason City. The program topic will be "Trusts." Women, Land and Legacy discussion meetings offer presentations and discussion on topics that are a concern of women involved in farming. Everyone is invited to come. Master Gardener

Master Gardener Classes are scheduled to begin here at the Cerro Gordo County Extension office on September 16! Anyone interested in gardening is encouraged to call Cerro Gordo County Extension at 641-423-0844 and register by September 5! Master Gardeners are individuals who have an interest in horticulture, have taken the Master Gardener training offered by Extension, and use that training to volunteer for 40 hours in their communities.
