: 4-H FSQA Training

: Iowa 4-H - ™ers produce over 17 million pounds of meat each year, which all goes into the American food supply. 4-H producers are expected to follow the same rules and regulations as all other food producers. Food Safety Quality Assurance provides members with education and information of their responsibilities as food producers. FSQA is required for all members planning to show beef, dairy, goat, rabbit, poultry, sheep, and swine projects at the county or state level. Members in grades 4-6 are required to take the training each year, while members in grades 7-12 have the option to test out. This year - ™s dates for training and test out are listed below. All will be held at the Cerro Gordo County Extension Office: ï‚· February 23, 2013 9-11 a.m. (test out from 8-9) ï‚· March 16, 2013 9-11 a.m. (test out from 9-11) ï‚· April 13, 2013 9-11 a.m. (test out from 9-11) If you are unable to attend any of these dates, please contact the office for other county - ™s dates and locations.
