Women, Land & Legacy Meeting
May 23, 2013, 5:30-8 pm
4-H Learning Center, North Iowa Events Center, Mason City
Program Topic: Paula Petersburg from Clear Lake Bank & Trust (with help from Marc and Mark) will give a presentation on “Planning around new federal estate tax laws and higher land values”. These topics were decided based on recent customer requests to Paula’s office and from previous WLL evaluation forms.
Cerro Gordo County Extension, along with Cerro Gordo County NRCS, FSA, Soil & Water Conservation District, and Farm Bureau, will hold a Women, Land & Legacy Discussion Meeting on May 23, 2013. Free supper and registration will be from 5:30-6 pm followed by the program from 6-8 pm.The presenter for May 23 will be Paula Petersburg from Clear Lake Bank & Trust (with help from Marc and Mark) giving a presentation on “Planning Around New Federal Estate Tax Laws and Higher Land Values.” These topics were decided based on recent customer requests to Paula’s office and from previous WLL evaluation forms. This is a free program open to all women who would like assistance with farm decision making. The Cerro Gordo County agricultural agencies have teamed up to offer this tremendous outreach program for the women in our communities.
Please come with your questions in mind as women will be free to ask questions at any time during the program. Women of all ages are invited to attend the meeting to see what Women, Land & LegacySM is all about.
The WLL Meeting on March 14, 2013 was attended by 32 people. The Program & Discussion was about “Funeral Planning.”
Women, Land and Legacy discussion meetings offer presentations and discussion on topics that are a concern of women involved in farming.
