Council members are elected by the general public during the general election held in even-numbered years. The nine members serve at-large for a four year staggered term.
Responsibilities
The council is responsible for setting policy on programs, personnel, facilities, and finance. They are required to publish the budget and levy a tax for the coming fiscal year as well as a record of the expenses for the past fiscal year.
