Crop Clinic

The Cerro Gordo County Extension and Outreach Corn & Soybean Clinic - 2015 will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014, 10:30 am-3:30 pm, United Methodist Church, Clear Lake. Matt Darr, ISU Extension Biosystems Ag Engineer and Kelvin Liebold, ISU Extension Farm Management Specialist will be featured speakers. Women, Land and Legacy met on November 13, 5:30-8:00 pm, 4-H Learning Center, North Iowa Events Center, Mason City. The program topic was "Soil, Slopes and Glaciers-Fred Greder Talks Dirt." Women, Land and Legacy discussion meetings offer presentations and discussion on topics that are a concern of women involved in farming. Everyone is invited to come. Farm bill

Cerro Gordo County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host 2014 Farm Bill-Program Overview on December 8, 2014, from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Muse-Norris Conference Center, NIACC, Mason City. Please call 641-423-0844 to register. This meeting will provide guidance for Iowa farmland owners and operators reviewing options under the Agricultural Act of 2014, commonly known as the Farm Bill. Farmland owners and operators must make decisions on base acre and yield updates along with choosing an Agriculture Risk Coverage or Price Loss Coverage commodity program.
