Farmland Leasing
July 25, 2014

It’s the time of year when farmland leases come up for review. This workshop will guide landowners and renters through the process of finding the right kind of lease for their situation. The workshop will be led Kelvin Leibold, Iowa State University Extension Farm Management Specialist.

Women, Land and Legacy Meeting, September 4, 5:30-8:00 pm, 4-H Learning Center, North Iowa Events Center, Mason City. The program topic will be "Trusts." Women, Land and Legacy discussion meetings offer presentations and discussion on topics that are a concern of women involved in farming. Everyone is invited to come. Borlaug Center

Cerro Gordo, Floyd, and Bremer County Extensions would like to tell everyone about the Summer Horticulture Showcase that will be taking place on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Borlaug Learning Center (ISU Research Farm) west of Nashua. It is becoming the premier gardening event in Northern Iowa! There will be expert Horticulturists giving presentations on 12 different horticulture related topics throughout the day (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). Participants may choose 4 of the 12 programs to attend. Master Gardener

Master Gardener Classes are scheduled to begin here at the Cerro Gordo County Extension office on September 16! Anyone interested in gardening is encouraged to call Cerro Gordo County Extension at 641-423-0844 and register by September 5! Master Gardeners are individuals who have an interest in horticulture, have taken the Master Gardener training offered by Extension, and use that training to volunteer for 40 hours in their communities.
