A NEW requirement for the 2008 Cedar County Fair is that All swine exhibitors are required to have a Premise ID. This is a NEW requirement of all county fairs that sell their swine to Tyson Fresh Meats. All Tyson plants will be requiring a Premise ID number before they will purchase any pigs from fairs.
In Cedar County, your Premise ID number will be required at the time you pay your stall fees, which are due June 15. It may take several weeks to receive the number, so it is important to complete the application soon.
Also, when swine are unloaded at the County Fair on July 9, ALL swine exhibitors will be required to turn in a completed 4-H Market Swine Affidavit form. This information is an on-going part of your swine project.
