Consumer Horticulture Position - Application  deadline - April 16, 2014
 
Looking for someone with Horticulture background and experience to answer consumer questions, perform diagnosis and treatment recommendations for plant disease, insect and other horticulture concerns using research-based information provided by ISU or other similar organizations.  This is a part time position with eight hours per week starting May 1 and ending September 30, 2014.

Coordinator for Community Partnership for the Protection of Children - Application deadline - April 15, 2014
 
Cedar County Extension is looking for an individual for the position of Coordinator for the Community Partnership for the Protection of Children (CPPC) grant.  The CPPC Coordinator provides development and implementation of the four CPPC strategies to prevent child-abuse in Cedar County.  This is a part-time position for the remainder of the current year grant period ending June 30, 2014 and for the grant period of July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015.  Annual renewal is possible, but not guaranteed.  Salary will be determined based on grant award and qualifications.,  Reimbursable travel expense allowance.  Minimum of 2 year degree:  relevant work experience with four year degree preferred and Social Service/Public Relations background helpful.  Work from ISU Extension Office or from home.  Individual must exhibit a passion for Cedar County Youth and Families; strong organizational skills; Microsoft products; public relations; ability to build county-wide coalition; advocacy and grant writing.  Position will stay posted until filled, EOE
