FairEntry help sheet for 4-H Fair Exhibits
 

As the fair is fast approaching we are working with a new fair entry program for all exhibits coming to the fair.  A help sheet
has been put together to assist you with this process.  Remember the deadline for completing this process is June 30, 2015 at 4:00 pm.  If you have any questions, please contact the Extension Office for help.  View the help sheet to walk you through the process.

Verb Program

Get up and get moving this summer!  Keep track of your physical activity, have fun and get rewarded for your efforts. 
The Iowa VERB program is an Iowa State initiative to promote physical activities by providing free orlow cost ways to
stay in shape and be active.

Power up for Summer Fun

School's Out so why not Power Up for Summer Fun!  Summer Meals and Activities for kids and teens are being served in your community.  This program is open to all youth 18 and younger.  There is No enrollment and No cost.  Check out the flyer for
times and dates of the program.  Power Up for Summer Fun!

Sessions start at 5:30 pm at the Cedar County Fairgrounds.

4-H and FFA Horse Clinics Held weekly on Thursday evenings
 

Clinics start at 6:30 pm at the Cedar County Fairgrounds Horse Arena

  • Arrive at 6:00 pm so you can brush and exercise your horse prior to the 6:30 pm clinic start time

4-H and FFA Rabbit Clinics Scheduled

Clinics start at 6:00 pm on June 24

Clinics are scheduled to help you get  your rabbit ready for the fair.  While attendig you will weigh your rabbits, complete remark cards, clip toenails, check tattoo readability, learn about showmanship and grooming.

Horticulture Clinic - June 29, 2015

Planning to take any Horticulture exhibits to the fair - be sure to mark your calendar for June 29th at 7:00 pm.  Sandy Mente will be at the Extension Office to help you prepare for the county fair.  She will talk about what a judge looks for and what will make a good display.

The goal of the Food Safety Project is to develop educational materials that give the public the tools they need to minimize their risk of foodborne illness.
