02/09/2012- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Training
Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.

02/22/2012- Seed Treatment CIC
The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 4 and 10. Topics to be covered include equipment calibration and safe application techniques, seed treatments and plant pathology, nematodes that feed on crops, seed treatment labels and seed treatment compatibility with biologicals.

02/29/2012- Extension Council Meeting
Regular meeting of the Cedar County Extension Council. This will be the budget hearing for the Extension Ag District.

03/07/2012- Ornamental and Turf Applicators CIC
The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 2, 3O, 3T, 3OT and 10. Topics to be covered include equipment calibration and safe application techniques; pesticide labels; pesticide stewardship; and Iowa insect, disease and turfgrass updates.

03/14/2012- Certified Handlers CIC
The course will provide continuing instructional credit for certified handlers. Topics to be covered include mixing procedures, recognizing pesticide poisoning symptoms and interpreting pesticide labels.
