AMES, Iowa--The annual “4-H’ers For 4-H” campaign kicks into high gear with a goal of $30,000 to provide financial assistance to participants in 4-H events and financial support for a summer youth conference, all sponsored by the 4-H Youth Development program of Iowa State University (ISU) Extension.
The campaign is carried out by nearly 30,000 members of Iowa 4-H clubs and is led by 40 high school members of the Iowa 4-H State Council. Each Iowa 4-H club is challenged by a state council member to donate $2.50 per club member to their county extension office by May 15. The Iowa 4-H Foundation also assists with the campaign.
Counties and clubs compete against one another in such campaign categories as the most dollars contributed per member, most dollars contributed by county and the most improved level of giving. Awards are presented during the June State 4-H Conference.
For information on how to support Iowa 4-H visit the Iowa 4-H Foundation Web site at http://www.iowa4-hfoundation.org.
In addition to your 4-H'ers for 4-H Pledge, consider making a donation to the Cass County 4-H Endowment Fund too. All of this money stays right here in Cass County to help the Cass County 4-H program. The Program Development fee is just one item the Endowment will fund. Cass County 4-H Endowment contributions should be sent to the Extension Office by May 15.
