Every day Cass County Extension Helps You Become Your Best. You can count on ISU Extension for unbiased research based information. Whether you need information about your family, home, business, community or farm, look to ISU Extension.
During 2009 Cass County Extension:
- Provided Pesticide and Manure Application Training;
- Master Gardeners 12 members join for 2009 headed by Cathy Booth.
- Reached over 1000 Cass County Youth through programming;
- Reached 361 youth through our 17 traditional 4-H clubs.
- Offered Summer Day Camps in Atlantic, Lewis and Anita to youth in grades K-5;
- Celebrated 13 years of Speak Out For Agriculture (SOFA) educating youth about career opportunities in the field of agriculture;
- Provided resources to After School programs;
- Kicked off a Safety Education and Shooting Sports program for youth.

Cass County Extension Council
Extension council members are elected by the voters of Cass County to serve four year terms. The nine-member council oversees the planning, preparation, marketing, and delivery of the extension educational program in the county. Every county in Iowa has an extension council. Through a unique partnership with Iowa State University and other federal and state organizations, Extension councils provide research-based, unbiased information and education to help county citizens make better decisions.
