The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $5,000 scholarship program for Iowa high school juniors. The program annually identifies and honors up to 15 Iowa high school juniors who propose and then accomplish a project of their own choosing and design. Grades, test scores, essays and financial need are not evaluated.
The application deadline for the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is March 31, 2012. To apply, students must be juniors in an Iowa high school or home schooled program in the spring of 2012, with a high school graduation date of spring, 2013.
The Erv Behrens Memorial Scholarship is to honor a high school senior exhibiting the true 4-H Spirit “To Make the Best Better” through their involvement in the 4-H program. Applications are due April 2nd.

NEW Cooperative is awarding scholarships to 4-H members who are a dependent of a NEW Cooperative member or a full-time employee. Scholarship applications are available at www.newcoop.com or at the Extension Office.
