Level 1 Robotics Camp - July 21-23
ISU Extension & Outreach 4-H and Youth Program and the 4-H Master Robotics Educator provided the “4-H Robot Camp.” We enjoyed teaching students about the development of robots, how to build a robot and beginning basics with a focus on ‘gears.’
On July 21 we did the following:
Learned “robot” origin: robota- meaning forced or repetitive labor.
Followed directions to make their own basic “gear car” individually.
Improved communication/team skills by “following instructions” and completing group tasks.
Explored problem solving by understanding gears and pulleys for forward/backward movements.
