The Iowa State University Extension - Calhoun County office, in cooperation with the Rockwell City Chamber of Commerce, is sponsoring a weekly Farmers Market. Vendors raising Iowa fruits and vegetables are welcome to participate. The market will run 20 weeks from June 11 through October 22. There is an $8.00 set-up fee for vendors.

07/09/2009- Calhoun County Community Foundation Board Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Calhoun County Community Foundation Board will discuss marketing of the community foundation and plan future steps in promoting philanthropy within Calhoun County.

07/13/2009- Monthly Calhoun County Extension Council Meeting
The Calhoun County Extension Council will hold its monthly meeting to identify programming needs, approve financial vouchers, and address other issues related to ISU Extension - Calhoun County.

Vendors raising Iowa fruits and vegetables, baked goods, or homemade crafts are welcome to partipcate. The market will run 13 weeks through October 19 (no market on September 7, Labor Day). There is a $5.00

Exams are administered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) for private and commercial pesticide applicators. Confirming the testing time and site prior to travel is recommended - call 712-297-8611.
