We know that northeast Iowa's agricultural heritage is the cornerstone of economic viability.  Beginning farmers are the key to a future of thriving communities, diverse businesses, and strong families.

"The Rural Innovator" is a quarterly, online newsletter that connects beginning farmers with resources, innovators with ideas and technology and transitioning farmers with the next generation.

In each issue, you'll gain reliable, research-based information about diverse agriculture practices and read stories about Iowans who are using those methods to manage profitable businesses.

Each newsletter is created by the Northeast Iowa ISU Extension Ag Team - dedicated team of Extension specialists and coordinators working in county offices throughout the region.

The forces of nature - wind, water, and extremes of temperature can leave one unprepared.  Remember to take care of yourself and your family first, then deal with the things you may have lost to the disaster.
