Explore Design! Wednesday, July 24, 2013 is a one day camp (8am -4:30 pm) for 4-H’ers entering 7th, 8th and 9th grades. This camp uses hands-on design projects to introduce students to the fun of design and creativity. The camp fee of $25 provides a workshop teaching students design thinking through creative exploration of the materials, tools, and technology of design. Campers will learn how to express their ideas both visually and verbally through sketches, critiques, discussions, and a gallery show for friends and family.
Design Innovation a three-day design workshop for 4-H’ers and students entering 10th grade through recent high school graduates. Design Innovation July 25-26, 2013 Thursday and Friday (8 am- 4:00 pm each day) will introduce 4-H’ers to careers and lifelong opportunities in design. The $50 camper fee covers participant studio activity costs and transportation to local artists and professional studio take home resources. Sessions explore a range of art and design disciplines, including studio art, graphic design, interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning. Design Innovation culminates in a public exhibit, designed by student participants, featuring the work produced during the two-day event.
