Food microbiologist Shannon Coleman is a new assistant professor in food science and human nutrition and a Human Sciences Extension and Outreach specialist at Iowa State University. Her job will take Iowa State’s longstanding, interdepartmental efforts in food safety and consumer food protection, and extend that research-based education to small farmers and food entrepreneurs

A record breaking 125 Iowa 4-H volunteers from 91 counties were inducted into the 2015 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame on Aug. 23 at the Iowa State Fair. Buena Vista County's very own Lee Meyer is one of them!
