As diabetes becomes more widespread, including among Iowa’s rural Latino population, the need for education and prevention assistance is increasing. Sarah Francis, a human sciences state specialist in nutrition and wellness, and associate professor at Iowa State University, saw this need and created “Latinos Living Well.”

The 89th annual Soil Management and Land Valuation Conference, the longest running conference at Iowa State University, will be held May 18 in the Scheman Building on the ISU campus.

Informational meeting for 4H members and interested family members. Thursday, April 14 @ 6:30 pm @ ISU Extension Office. Classes will start Tuesday, May 3rd @ 7:00 pm. at Iowa Central Community College lawn and will run for 12 weeks. Classes are free of charge.
