A Farmland Leasing & Value Seminar was presented recently, sponsored by BankIowa and Buchanan County ISU Extension and Outreach.  Kristen Schulte, Farm and Ag Business Management Specialist, conducted the seminar which was held at Heartland Acres Events Center in Independence.

Lori and Rustie Kane of Buchanan County was inducted into the 2014 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the 4-H Exhibits Building at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 17.

The ISU Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm has specialists covering topics from the emerging technology of using UAV’s in crop production, to crop diseases, nutrient management, and grain marketing going into the 2014 harvest.  Please plan to attend this educational event on Wednesday September 3 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM.
