Private and Commercial Pesticide Applicator Training

Below is a list of Commercial Pesticide Applicator Trainings (C-CIC) that are offered at the Bremer County.  All applicators and employers listed in the IDALS database will be sent a card. This mailing will be a large postcard listing all C-CICs for the season as well as a list of all county offices. Please send the registration form to the Extension office or you can call us at 319-882-4275. Study manuals can be ordered at the Extension Online Store.

Private Pesticide Applicator's Training - Dates for 2013 trainings in Bremer County are January 16th at 9:30 am at the Waverly Civic Center and February 7th at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm at the Extension office.  Cost: $20.00.  Study Guide - PAT 1.  Click here for the brochure.  Click here for other locations and dates.

Spring 2013

Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management - February 13, 2013, 9:00 am to 11:45 am.  Cost:  $35.00 if registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00.  Study Guides: Category 1A  Publication CS-9, Agricultural Weed Management;  Category 1B  Publication CS-10, Agricultural Insect Control;  Category 1C  Publication CS-11 Agricultural Crop Disease Management.

Seed Treatment - February 27, 2013, 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  Cost: $35.00 Cost:  $35.00 if registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00.  Category 4 - Publication CS-16, Seed Treatment.

Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators - March 6, 2013, 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.  Cost:  $35.00 if registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00.  Category 3 - Publication CS-15, Ornamental, Turf, and Greenhouse Pest Management.

Certified Handlers - March 13, 2013, 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  Cost: $35.00  registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00.   Tested over Chapters 1-5, 8 and 10 of the Iowa Core Manual, stop at the Extension Office.

Fall 2012

Roadside, Forest, Aquatic Pest Management  - October 17, 2012, 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  Cost:  $35.00 if registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00. Category 2 - Publication CS-14, Forest Pest Management - stop at the Extension Office;  Category 5 - Publication CS-17, Aquatic Pest Control;  Category 6 - Publication CS-18, Right-of-Way.

Mosquito & Public Health Pest Management - October 25, 2012, 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  Cost:  $35.00 if registered 1 week in advance.  Late registrations:  $45.00. Category 7D - Publication CS-22, Community Insect Management, Category 8 - Publication CS 23; Category 10 - Publication CS-25; stop at the Extension office for publications.
