Early November saw the harvest of Bremer County's large corn and soybean test plot.  The local Bremer County Comparative Crop Plots have been coordinated for 14 years through the cooperative effort of Bremer County Corn and Soybean Association along with the ISU Extension – Bremer County Office and plot cooperator Steve Boevers.  This year, over 17 companies submitted entries to the plot, which included 46 conventional corn varieties plus, 11 conventional and Liberty Link, and 33 varieties of soybeans along with Round-Up ready soybeans.  Yield data will be included in the Bremer County Corn and Soybean Plot Data book that is provided free.  Several hundred copies of the books are distributed annually.
