DESCRIPTION OF CLUB:

We encourage kids from K-12 to join our club!  At each meeting the members hosting the meeting do a presentation.  Every year in July we have our farm tour, where each member gets to tell the club about the projects they are taking to fair.

HISTORY OF CLUB:

The Douglas Rockets 4-H club started in 1924 and the first leader was Edgar Bergmann.  The club originated in Douglas Township in Bremer County, but now includes more townships in the county.

CLUB ACTIVITIES & EVENTS:  

In December we have a Christmas Party.  In February we go bowling and in June we try to do a fun summer outing.  Sometimes it is Adventureland or maybe camping.  July is our farm tour.

MEETING LOCATION:  

Meetings are held at 1:00 P.M. on the second Sunday of every month.  These meetings are held at the members homes.
