The Boone County Extension Council was honored with the Distinguished Service Award at the annual Iowa State University Extension and Outreach awards ceremony on Sunday, March 26 at Gateway Event Center in Ames, Iowa. Each year, one Extension Council in the state of Iowa is chosen for this honor by a committee of Extension professionals.
As a way to honor King’s memory, the Boone County 4-H Auction Committee has developed a scholarship fund. The scholarship will be given to graduating Boone County 4-H’ers who were actively involved in the livestock area, one of King’s passions. Find out how to contribute.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sleep near wild animals? 5th and 6th grade 4-H members from Benton, Boone, Greene, Hardin, Linn, Marshall, Story & Tama counties are invited to participate in a campout at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha!
The Merlin Paulson Memorial has kindly donated a livestock scale to the Boone County 4-H program. This generous donation will enable the program to weigh 4-H market beef animals as needed throughout the year.
