Wired for Wind Workshop and Tour

On May 4th, fourth through twelfth graders and their parents from Boone, Story, Marshall and Hardin counties can learn about STEM skills when they design wind turbines and tour the BECON Biomass Energy Conservation Facility in Nevada.  4-H'ers are encouraged to invite a friend to participate with them.

This experience is part of the PEERS (Partnership for Engineering Educational Resources for Schools) program through the Governor's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Scale Up Initiative for which our region received funding.  The goal is to provide youth and parents an opportunity to learn about the interesting and rewarding skills and careers in STEM.

To participate, complete the registration form by April 26.  Non-4-H youth need to also complete a health form.  An email with final details will be sent to registrants prior to the event.
