4-H Youth Development empowers children (1-3) and youth (4-12) to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults. 4-H positive youth development programming provides opportunities for young people to become competent, caring, contributing, confident and connected citizens with character. Youth camps, trips and scholarships are also available.
There are over 19 4-H clubs in Boone County to choose from!

1. Pick A Club
You may choose a club based on location, age or special interest. To see a map of 4-H clubs in Boone County, click here. If club leader information is not available from the club map, please contact the County Youth Coordinator. We are happy to assist you in contacting a club leader. It is important that you make contact with the club leaders, as they can give you specific information about the club such as, meeting times and special club rules.
You need two forms to join 4-H. The New Member Enrollment Form and the IA 4-H Member Medical Release Form. There is also an annual program fee of $35 to enroll in 4-H. This fee helps to support the county & state 4-H program. If you feel that this fee would constitute an undue financial burden, financial assistance is available by filling out the Financial Assistance Form. All forms need to be turned into the Boone County ISU Extension Office located under the Dutch Oven Bakery (603 Story Street) in Boone.
