2008 Aerospace Interest Group
Would you like to learn how to build and launch a model rocket? Any boy or girl who is in the 4th grade or older is invited to register for the Aerospace Interest Group sponsored by Boone County ISU Extension.
On Saturdays, April 19 and May 3, the aerospace groups will meet to build rockets and do experiments about launch, forces, and flight. The beginners group will meet from 9 - 10 am at the Boone County Extension Office (under the bakery in downtown Boone.)
On May 31, beginners will learn the basics of finishing and painting model rocket and how to safely launch rockets. On Sunday, June 29, the each member will launch his/her rocket and each rocket will be judged on quality of workmanship. The May 31 and June 29 meetings are at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
Pre registration and payment of a supply fee of $20 are required. The beginners group is limited to 18 participants.
