: Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale - Revised (ECERS-R)

: This DHS-approved series is intended for family child caregivers. The training is a series of four 2-hour trainings. CCR&R will give certificates for attendance at each class. To receive ISU Extension and Outreach training credit required by family child caregivers for Quality Rating Scale (QRS) rating point, participants must attend one full series. No make-up sessions will be offered for individual missed classes in a series. Participants will learn the characteristics of a quality child care program in a family child care setting and how quality can make a real difference throughout a child's life. Participants will gain skills in using the FCCERS-R self-assessment tool, have a hands-on experience using the tool during a site visit, and create an improvement plan for their program. Register using the Iowa DHS Child Care Provider Training Registry.
