Mr. Kisch, Mrs. Sartorius and the Eighth Grade botany class have been occupied using every skill mastered thus far in Greenhouse 101 on 49 tropical plants donated by Lost Island Water Park. Each student adopted 2 plants to care and monitor during the winter season. The goal is to restore their health and overwinter in the greenhouse and return to Lost Island in the spring.
In addition to the tropicals, the students are maintaining a designed vegetable garden to share produce in the school lunchroom.
