4-H Dog Obedience Classes will begin Wednesday, May 6th at 6:00-7:00 pm at the Devonshire school parking lot until July 8th. Classes are free. There are no classes for Dog Agility this year, however you may still enter Dog Agility at fair. Please RSVP to wolfejd@iastate.edu

Black Hawk County Extension and Outreach announces the hiring of Shelly Smith, as the county’s Executive Director, beginning on May 6, 2015.  Shelly is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Family Services and a Certification in Non-Profit Youth Agency Administration.  Shelly looks to this position as an excellent opportunity to “...promote youth development, community engagement, protect our natural resources and support economic development.” Read more...
