Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 23th-29thOur volunteers are a fantastic asset to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Black Hawk County and we want to convey your contributions to the public!  We would like you to share the reason(s) you enjoy volunteering with us.  We invite any and all of our volunteers to stop in and step into our Volunteer Photobooth any day next week between 8:30am and 4:30pm.  You will caption your picture by finishing the sentence, “I volunteer with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Black Hawk County because…”.  Choose from several signs that we will have available or write your own!

Every volunteer that comes in and gets their picture taken will have their name put in a drawing for the chance to win a nifty gift!  We will post the pictures on Facebook and on our website…

Come in, smile, and let us thank you!

Last week, during Extension Week, all staff from Bremer, Black Hawk, Butler, Buchanan, Grundy and Tama gathered at the Waterloo Center for the Arts! Everyone enjoyed learning about new happening of each county along with listening to great speakers. Speakers included Margaret Van Ginkel, Hotline Coordinator/Human Sciences Specialist, and Communication Strategies/Social Media speakers; Greg Wallace and Karen Lathrop. Thanks to the planning committee for planning a great event. And thanks to the Waterloo Center of the Arts for providing great accommodations and atmosphere. See more photos on FACEBOOK!
