Iowans can learn how to "Preserve the Taste of Summer" during online lessons and a hands-on workshop from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Black Hawk County. Area families invited to STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) Day at the Black Hawk County 4-H and FFA Fair! The Fair has gone STEM! The Black Hawk County 4-H and FFA Fair’s Fourth annual STEM Festival will provide fairgoers an opportunity to explore hands-on STEM activities. The Festival, to be held Friday July 29, 1:00 to 4:00pm in Estel Hall on the National Cattle Congress fair grounds. is FREE to the public. View all our exihibitors!

Braydon Brinker and Chase Brockelsby showcaed thier 4-H Chick Project on KWWL evening news, June 17h. Along with many other 4-her's in the Chick Project they are excited that Poultry can come to the Black Hawk County Fair this year as opposed to last year's ban because of the Bird Flu. 

Also, last year 4-her's donated 950lbs of fresh chicken meat to the Northeast Iowa Foodbank! Which was fantastic. They are trying to hit 1000 pounds this year!
