Summer Science Discovery Camp

Summer Science Discovery Camp

Summer Science Discovery Camp is for youth who have completed grades kindergarten thru 5th grade.  The 2016 Summer Discovery Camp is "A Stick in the Mud".  Building a bridge is not a simple task.  Many factors are involved: you have to study the area, the landscape and know about the people who will use the bridge.  Do you like to be challenged and figure out the best way to build something?  If so, this is the camp for you!  Campers will: dig into the role of a geotechnical engineer, design and build a TarPul (a cable bridge), daily hands-on activities and much more. Registration fee is $30 per participant and form and fee are due to the Benton County Extension Office by May 25, 2016.  Space is limited.
