Pork Quality Assurance (PQA Plus) certification training (a two hour program) will be offered on September 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the Jones County Extension Office, 605 East Main Street, Anamosa, Iowa for any adult (19 years and older) wishing to be certified.
No pre-registration is required but it would be very much appreciated. The fee of $25.00 per particpant has been waived for this meeting compliments of the Iowa Pork Producers Association. The PQA Plus certification status is for three years. The training session will be conducted by Larry McMullen, Iowa State University Swine Field Specialist.
Future PQA Plus certification training opportunities at the Jones County Extension Office in Anamosa, Iowa will be on the third Tuesday of every other month. The next training session is scheduled for November 17, 2009 beginning at 7:00 pm.
