The Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are again joining forces to present the Annual Forestry Field Day in Lee County on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will get under way with registration and a tree identification walking tour, both taking place at the Ron and Carol Fullenkamp Tree Farm near West Point.
Crop and livestock producers can learn about drought-related issues and strategies to prepare for fall by attending either of two free informational meetings hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in southeast Iowa. The meetings will be held Friday, Aug. 10 in Donnellson and Mediapolis.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach are again joining forces to present the Shimek State Forest Forestry Field Day in Lee County on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The goal of the field day is to make attendees more knowledgeable about how to manage tree resources for their many benefits.
The 2011 Tri-State Agriculture Summit will provide an outlook of land values, grain markets, technology and inputs. The summit is Feb. 16 in Keokuk, Iowa.
