More than 6 million young people across the country are celebrating National 4-H Week Oct. 5-11 by sharing 4-H pride photos using #iam4H. Every Iowa community has the potential to share 4-H pride, and that is the beauty of this celebration -- and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach programs.
National 4-H Week is Oct. 6-12 and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is celebrating 4-H youth who make an impact on Iowa communities, and are stepping up to the challenges of a complex and changing world.
National 4-H Council has received a $500,000 gift from the Monsanto Company to drive the continued expansion of the National 4-H Volunteer Initiative. The new grant will fund several initiatives including continued outreach to attract and retain 4-H volunteers in 39 states, including Iowa.
Local 4-H camping programs are strong and growing across Iowa. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is committed to high quality 4-H camping programs.
