The Northwest Iowa Local Food Summit on Thursday, Jan. 31 at the Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon is an opportunity to help shape the regional food network, according to organizers.

Farm-to-Fork tours are part of a series of events in Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s Local Food Road Show aimed at connecting people to locally grown food and flavors in Northwest Iowa. Upcoming tours include Sioux City, Aug. 19, and Storm Lake, Aug. 26.

Bike-N-Bite is a local food-centered community bicycling event celebrating local food in Siouxland. The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 4, beginning at the Sioux City Farmers Market at 9 a.m.

Fruit and vegetable growers are invited to attend the Tri-State Fruit and Vegetable Growers Symposium Friday, Dec. 2, 12–5:15 p.m. at Stoney Creek Inn, 300 Third Street, Sioux City, Iowa.
