ISU Extension and Outreach is offering a specialized Annie's Project course on value added agriculture farm business plan development. The course, specifically for women, will be held in Ames.
A special value added agriculture Annie’s Project course is coming to Ames in March. The course covers five areas of agricultural risk: financial, human resources, legal, marketing and production.
Annie's Project helped Nicole Jonas write a business plan and add value to her farm business. The classes "made me realize things I needed to be doing or be doing better on Red Granite Farm and helped me focus on it as a real business,” Jonas said.
Women should register now for Annie's Project, a course designed to empower women to be better business partners and owners. The course to be offered in Ralston begins Jan. 12, 2012 and is sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach along with West Central Co-op and Carroll County State Bank.
