Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is offering a course called Homegrown Lifestyle for folks who want to reconnect with the land, grow food for their families and create a sustainable landscape. The 12-week course will be offered at several Iowa locations beginning March 14.
The Iowa Master Gardener 2013 winter trainings will be held at 16 Iowa State University Extension and Outreach county offices beginning in January. The Master Gardener course includes 40 hours of Web-based local training and a one-day training session on the Iowa State University campus.
Denny Schrock joined Iowa State University in August as coordinator for the Iowa Master Gardener program. He also will teach students on campus and co-direct the Homegrown Lifestyle program.
