Farmers will have an opportunity to purchase seedstock through the National Sheep Improvement Program at the 2016 Center of the Nation NSIP Sale on July 23 at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer, Iowa.

Sheep producers and agribusiness staff are invited to a meeting in Sheldon, Ia. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 about how to improve lamb carcass quality, resulting in better returns for the producer.

The National Sheep Symposium will bring top sheep production experts from across the United States to the Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer, Iowa on July 27 and 28. Speakers will discuss how to increase the number of lambs born per ewe, increase the survival of lambs born and improve the lean meat yield from those lambs.
