CALLING ALL CHEFLINGS – THE COOKING CLUB FOR KIDS
The Cooking Club for Kids is a fun and exciting group for any child in 5th – 6th grades in Audubon County. Throughout the 8 week program, youth will gain knowledge of healthy and low cost food choices, cooking utensils and techniques, safety practices, cooking terms, and ingredients. Allowing participants to work individually and in small groups will increase their confidence in preparing nutritious food for themselves and their families; and help them work more effectively as a team member. At the end of each weekly session, students will have a completed food item to take home to share with their family.
If you have any questions regarding The Cooking Club for Kids contact Tonya Vetter, ISU Extension and Outreach Program Coordinator, 563-4239 or tvetter@iastate.edu.
