The Youth Environmental Agriculture Field Days program recently earned the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council Seal of Approval. Eight other programs from around Iowa also received this STEM Seal of Approval. It is given to programs that enculturate, sustain and spread STEM thinking.

The Heddleson Internship Program allows Iowa State University students in the College of Human Sciences to experience ISU Extension and Outreach with a hands-on internship. This year three students were selected to be Heddleson interns, including junior in nutritional sciences, Morgan Bahl.

Delaware County’s Senior Dairy Quiz Bowl Team, Delaware #1, placed first in the annual 4-H Youth Dairy Quiz Bowl, held June 10 at the Starmont High School in Arlington. The team will represent Iowa 4 H at the National 4 H Dairy Quiz Bowl in Louisville, Ky., in November.

A total of 152 4-H youth from 55 counties completed written applications and face-to-face interviews for the state-level 4-H award opportunity this year. The awards are given to youth who have exhibited mastery, leadership, communication and service in a specific project area.
